Naperville Chinese School
Parent Service Point Program

Naperville Chinese School implements a Service Point Program to enhance students’ learning experience and improve the quality of education. The program is planned and administered by the board members to encourage parent involvement in school activities. All parents with children enrolled in language classes are required to participate and fulfill the program requirements.

Service Point requirements are as follows:

  • Each family is required to complete 20 service points per school year.

  • Service points are tracked throughout the school year by board members.

  • A $100 deposit check must be submitted by each family at registration.

  • At the end of the school year, any unfulfilled service points will be charged at a rate of $5 per point.

The Service Point Program offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the school year, including but not limited to: school website content and technical support, fundraising activities (such as student handbook advertisements), Speech Contest and Chinese Recitation Contest, Lunar New Year celebrations, Double Ten Day Parade, commencement ceremony and carnival, student activities and competitions, and assistance to teachers and board members.

Service points may not be applied toward or exchanged for tuition. If a family does not complete the required service points by the end of the school year, the remaining deposit balance will be considered a donation to the school. Donation receipts are available upon request.
